The Ry-CM-3 automatic linear screw capping machine applies plastic and metal screw caps to bottles at speeds ranging from 10 to 100 bottles per minute. Designed for pharmaceutical, food, beverage, and cosmetic production lines, this capper handles bottle diameters up to 120mm and cap diameters up to 90mm without requiring change parts when switching between different bottle sizes. That capability alone saves production teams hours of downtime typically lost to mechanical reconfiguration during product changeovers.
The machine weighs 510 kg and occupies a footprint of 2,280 x 1,080 x 1,940 mm, positioning it as a mid-range capping solution for facilities processing moderate to high bottle volumes. A 1.8 kW motor drives the conveyor, cap elevator, and three pairs of spinning screw wheels that tighten each cap to the correct torque. The system requires a compressed air supply at 0.6 MPa with a consumption rate of 3 liters per minute for the pneumatic cap feeding and bottle separation mechanisms.
The capping cycle begins when an operator pours caps into the hopper. A cap elevator automatically sorts and lifts the caps, conveying them through a feeding chute to the cap loading position. Meanwhile, the conveyor belt brings bottles forward continuously, and a bottle separation mechanism maintains precise spacing between consecutive bottles to ensure each one receives exactly one cap.
As each bottle passes the end of the cap feeding chute, a cap is automatically applied onto the bottle mouth. A cap pressing head then presses the cap to a horizontal angle, preparing it for the screwing stage. Three pairs of constantly spinning wheels rotate in sequence to tighten the cap, with each pair applying progressive torque until the cap reaches the correct tightness. After capping, an aluminum foil detection device checks each bottle for the presence of a foil liner inside the cap. Bottles missing the foil liner are automatically rejected from the line, preventing incomplete packages from reaching downstream labeling and cartoning stations.
Pharmaceutical manufacturers deploy the Ry-CM-3 for capping medicine bottles, syrup containers, and supplement jars with plastic screw caps or metal caps. Food and beverage producers use it for sauce bottles, juice containers, cooking oil bottles, and condiment packaging.
