Written by Grace Sullivan, High-Speed Packaging Line Architect at Hangzhou Ruiyi Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. With 18 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging automation, I have designed and commissioned counting and bottling lines for some of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide, specializing in high-throughput configurations exceeding 100 bottles per minute.
The Ry-AEC-48C is a 48-channel fully automatic electronic counting machine built for high-volume pharmaceutical and nutraceutical production lines. It counts tablets, capsules, softgels, pills, chewing gum, and other solid products into bottles at speeds of 10 to 120 bottles per minute, with counting accuracy up to 99.8%. The 48-channel configuration delivers the highest throughput in the Ruiyi counting machine lineup, making it suitable for large-scale manufacturing facilities where production volume demands maximum bottling line speed. Product contact parts constructed from SUS316 stainless steel ensure full GMP compliance for pharmaceutical applications.
Product loaded into the 70-liter hopper feeds onto a vibrating corrugated plate that distributes materials across 48 parallel channels. Each channel uses a three-stage adjustable vibrating platform to control product flow speed independently, ensuring optimal single-file presentation across the full channel array. As products pass through each counting head, photoelectric sensors detect and count them individually. The bottle blocking device on the conveyor belt positions an empty bottle at the filling station. When the cumulative count across all 48 channels reaches the target number, the counted batch drops into the waiting bottle simultaneously. The conveyor advances immediately to position the next bottle, and the cycle repeats. The parallel operation of 48 channels enables the machine to fill up to 120 bottles per minute, with each bottle receiving its complete count in a fraction of a second.
The Ry-AEC-48C is designed for pharmaceutical factories producing high-volume prescription and OTC medications where daily output targets require bottling line speeds exceeding 100 bottles per minute. Large-scale nutraceutical manufacturers use it for mass-market vitamin and supplement products. Major confectionery producers deploy it for gummy vitamin and chewing gum counting at retail packaging volumes. The machine is also suited for central packaging facilities that serve multiple product lines, where its high throughput allows a single counting machine to feed multiple downstream packaging stations. The 48-channel configuration provides headroom for production scale-up without requiring additional counting equipment.
Product contact parts are manufactured from SUS316 stainless steel as standard, fully meeting GMP pharmaceutical production requirements for material compatibility and cleanability. The machine frame uses SUS304 stainless steel for structural integrity. CE certification is supported, and the machine complies with international export standards. The robust 900kg construction provides the stability required for sustained operation at maximum speed without vibration-induced accuracy degradation.
The machine serves as the counting centerpiece in complete automatic bottling lines that may include bottle unscramblers, desiccant inserters, capping machines, induction sealing machines, labeling machines, and collection turntables. At 120 bottles per minute throughput, downstream equipment must be specified to match or exceed this speed. The PLC system supports high-speed signal communication with upstream and downstream equipment for synchronized line operation. Conveyor height, signal protocols, and feeding direction can be customized for existing or planned line configurations.
Every machine includes operation manuals and installation videos. Online technical support and remote troubleshooting are available, with lifetime technical assistance as standard. Overseas engineer installation, operator training, and production line commissioning support can be arranged. Standard delivery time is 7 to 15 working days for single machines and 20 to 30 working days for complete production lines.
